Mandy was dreading this Ball. It was girl ask boys. Which made the boys feel better but made the girls dread asking them. Mandy had told her mom and sent her and Cara both amazing dresses. So that was out of the way. Along with shoes, and she knew how she was going to fix her hair so now all she needed was a date. And she knew who she was going to ask, she just hadn't done it yet. And with her luck somebody else probable asked him. Mandy saw Draco walk in with his friends, of course. It didn't surprise her but she had to ask. She sighed and looked over at Cara who flashed her two thumbs up.
Mandy stood up and walked over to Draco as she was walking she took a deep breath and smiled. "Hey Draco. I was wondering if you'd like to go to the Ball with me." She said a blushed a little bit and looked just at him to avoided his friends stares.
((Lol, sorry if this isn't how you wanted me to start this but, I'm not great at starting them and I wasn't sure how to start this one.))

The school was alive with excitement over the ball. Dumbledore apparently felt the same way the students did in the fact that school was getting a little repetitive. The Summer Ball was going to be so much fun. The girls were asking the guys which was different. Draco had been asked eight times now. Three times by Slytherin's, once by a Hufflepuff. Once by a first year Gryffindore and three times by Pansy herself.
Pansy now walked on Draco's left while Goyle walked on his right and Crabbe was behind them. They sat in the great hall at the Slytherin table for Dinner. Draco passsed Mandy and smiled but she was talking with a friend at the gryffindor table. The first year glanced at Draco and he nodded causeing her to blush.
Normally he couldn't stand Gryffindors but this poor girl was so shy he couldn't bring himself to be mena to the eleven year old kid.
Draco was sitting waiting for the food to appear when Pansy, who had not shut up since Draco met her in the common room, suddenly went mercifully silent. Draco looked up at her and then followed her gaze to find Mandy.
Draco smiled automaticly. "Hi," He started to say. "Hey Draco. I was wondering if you'd like to go to the Ball with me." Mandy said quickly and then blushed deeply. All of his friends turned to look at her expecting Draco to turn her down like the others. "Of course." He said surpriseing them all. "I'd love to go with you."

Mandy smiled when Draco said yes. She was shocked herself. "Really! That's great! Thank you!" She said. She then felt bad because of the look on Pansy's face. She bit the inside of her lip and then smiled because she was really excited. "Thank you! Well, I'm going to go and tell Cara. So I'll see you later." Mandy said and waved and then walked off smiling. She saw Cara and went and sat down by her so she could tell her and ask who she was going to ask. She looked over and smiled at Draco and then looked back at Cara.

Greg looked between Draco and Mandy during their brief conversation. All day Draco had been fighting off girls and now he accepted the invitation from mandy. Greg knew that Draco liked this girl but he always went to the parties and dances with Pansy. Pansy looked crushed when Draco had said yes. Greg shruged after a moment. To each his own he figured. Now who was he going to go with?

Ella skipped over and to Mandy at the table and sat next to her. "Hey. So your going with Draco?"She asked looking at her and then glancing at Harry at the Gryffindor table. Ella looked away when he glanced at her. Ella got something to eat and started to eat.

Cara smiled at Mandy as she said she was going to the ball with Draco she still hadn't asked anybody and she was planning on asking Talon but if he had was already going with somebody she would be going alone. When Ella sat down Cara narrowed her eyes. Just because her cousin liked her didn't mean that Cara had to like her. "Yeah, she is." she said coldly.

Ella nodded and kinda kept to herself now. She was afraid. "Well I don't know who i'm going with."She said not wanting to say she was actually going with Potter now. She was afraid she'd get her head ripped off or something worse. Maybe I'll tell MAndy later. Ella thought.

Harry noticed Ella over at the Gryffindor table a few seats down. He waved slightly. Ron followed his gaze and snickered. "Shut up, Ron." Harry said jokingly. Ginny noticed and asked. "Who's that." Before Harry could answer, Ron jumpped in. "Harry's new girlfriend." Harry wanted to kill him. He had said it so loud and now most of the table looked at Ella.

Ella saw Harry and waved back. She blushed when everyone was staring at her. She bit her lip and blushed again. Ella heard everyone talking now about them which made her blush more. Thanks RonShe thought. Now she wondered how she was going to explain it to Mandy. She looked around and most everyone had stopped staring. Luckly.

Cara's mouth dropped. A Slytherin dating a Gryffindor. It didn't make any sense. "Wow... This is just..... weired. Mandy did you know about that?" Cara asked looking Mandy and blinked. When Mandy shook her head. "Well okay then. You have our dresses right?" she put her head down on the table and closed her eyes. She was not excited for this ball.

"He's your what?" Mandy asked standing up and looking at Ella. Mandy looked around and saw a lot of people looking at her. She blushed and sat down again. "Yes Cara I have your dress and it looks amazing." Mandy said and rubbed Cara's back. She put her head down on the table and shrugged. "Did you ask you know how?" Mandy asked and smiled when Cara nodded . Mandy sat back up and looked over at Draco to see if he heard what Ron had said about Ella and Harry.

Draco's head snapped up. "What did weasle just say?" He asked. The weasle voice carried in the silent hall. Draco saw Mandy jump to her feet. Draco was shocked. Ella was dateing POTTER?? He felt the blood rushing to his face. He was furious. No Slytherin ever lowered themselves to date a Gryffindor. And more to the point, the boy who lived.

Ella blushed and looked away. "Well, almost girlfriend. He hasn't exactly me to be his Girlfriend yet. I asked him to the Summer Ball and he said yes." Ella said and noticed Draco's red face from across the hall. Somehow she knew he'd mad after dinner. She glanced at Harry and just had to smile.

Harry looked up when Mandy jumped to her feet. She was even louder then Ron had been. Harry felt his cheeks growing red. He had had a feeling that this would be hard for them. He stood and looked at Ella. The whole school knew now so they might as well both be put on the spot. He walked to her side. Everyones eyes were on them. "Hi." He said softly.

Ella looked back and saw Harry. "Hi."She said just as soft. She took his hand hesitantly in front of everyone. She was nervous because everyone was staring, especially Draco. She entwined her fingers in his and blushed. Ella didn't know whether to stand or pull him down next to her on the empty seat. "Wow, this is going to be hard.Ella said mostly to Harry.
