Servius walked briskly along the narrow hallway of the dungeon. It was his first class of the new school year and he planned to wreck havoc on any student that stepped out of line. As he rounded the corner he saw a fair size group of children waiting to get into his classroom. He raised his wand and pointed at the door to the classroom and muttered “Alohomora” and the door swung open. “Inside.” Servius ordered. He followed the students in and walked to the front of the room to his desk. He waited for everyone to be seated before he began.

Cara dragged her feet as she walked into Professor Snape's class room. It was such a dark room, it made her feel like the faster she worked the faster she could get out of the room. But never the less she still had to take it. She was to the middle of her room and set her stuff down on the table. She would have sat in the back but seeing as how Professor Snape won't let her sit in the back anymore she sat in the middle because there was just no way she was going to sit in the front. She watched as Snape made his way to the front of the room. She suddenly felt very bad for him, the only students that really liked him were the ones in Slytherin. She sat up and watched him, trying to show him, she wouldn't fall asleep in this class again.

Talon walked in, one of the first kids in the classroom. He took a seat in the second row, next to two Slytherin girls who wouldn't stop gossiping. He loved this period for he loved potions and found Professor Snape to be quite intellectual. He looked around the room, noticing one girl in particular. She was sitting in the middle of the class, probably avoiding the front, and wouldn't sit in the back without getting a good talking to by Snape. He rolled his eyes and turns back to the professor.
(that's long enough, right? :I)

“Today we are going to make a potion that will force the git Filch to get off his rear.” Servius said coldly. That man was more trouble then he’s worth. Servius looked at the students before flicking his wand at the chalk board. A list of ingredients appeared in red chalk. Servius read then in a loud clear voice. “The ingredients must be added in order. I will be testing the powder on the student who has the worst potion at the end of class.” He paused for effect. “Belladonna, Bezoar, Bicorn Parts, Billywig parts, and Black Beetle Paste.” Servius pointed his warn at the cabinet holding the class supplies and the doors slowly swung open. “For those of you who neglected to purchase the material needed, you will find it here. You will each work on your own. Begin.” Servius began to move amoung the tables. He stopped and nodded at Draco, his god son and then moved on.

Ginny ran down the hallway from the Gryffindor Tower. She was late for potions. Why did it have to be Snapes class she thought. She got to the Grand Staircase and ran full speed. She ran past Harry and Ron on their way to Divination class. "Late" she shouted over to them. Why did her blasted alarm clock not go off.
She finally made it down to potions. Ginny slipped in queitly. She hoped Snape wouldn't see her. She sat in one of the seats in the back hoping not to draw too much attention. She opened her book and started working.

Servius looked up as the classroom door opened. A small red head poked in and glanced around. Servius sighed. The youngest Weasly crept into the room and sat down in the back. She did not seem to notice that he had spotted her. Servius walked slowly to where she was prepareing her equiptment. "Five points from Gryffindor, Miss Weasley." He growled softly. He continued on his way without looking back. "Perhaps next time you will grace us with an early arrival."

Cara's eye's widened when snape said he would use it on the student that didn't make it right. She sighed and let her head hit the desk with a loud thunk. There was a good possibility that she would mess this up. She sat back up and followed the directions on the board, praying that she did it right. When she was done she sat and waited while the people that weren't done finished. She sighed when snape said that they lost five pints but didn't blame Ginny. She liked Ginny. But she sighed and put her head back down.

Ginny glared at Snape. Why he had to be so mean she had no idea. He didn't like anyone but Slytherins as no one liked him but Slytherins. She started making her potion. She followed the directions exact. Ginny was brilliant in potions. She smiled as the potion turned the color it was suppose to.

Greg was sitting close to Draco when Professor Snape made his way by their table. Draco's father had just bought Draco a new gold and emerald ring and Draco was showing it to his friends. Grey looked up at the professor, "Good morning professor." Greg said politely. Snape nodded at him and Draco and continued on his way. Greg laughed loudly when Sanpe stopped to take points from Gryffindor. Turning to his potion, he began to work with a little help from Draco.

When Cara heard Greg laughing she balled up a piece of notebook paper and threw it at his head. He frustrated her, almost as much as Draco annoyed her but she had to be nice to him, because Mandy liked him. She wrinkled her nose at the thought. She looked over to see that Ginny's potion was the same color of her's. She smiled and pulled out a book to start reading.

Hermione knew Snape was mean but seriously, he was just being a housist(idk lol). The only class he got along with was slytherin, but maybe that was due to the fact that they were alike and he was their house-master(i think that's what he is to Slytherins). Hermione carefully added each of the ingredients in the oder that was listed. She, along with Ginny, were both good at Potions class. She smiled to herself as the potion was completed successfully. Hermione could only hope that her friends would succed.

Greg jumped slightly when the ball of paper hit him on the side of his head. He looked over to find a gryffindor looking at him. Grey picked up his wand ready to hex her when Professor Snape was suddenly at his side. The professor put his hand over Gregs and pushed the wand back down. Greg looked up at the professor and then sighed and returned to his work.

Servius looked down at Greg and then looked at his potion. It was coming along well as was Draco's. Servius moved to Mis Grangers and was disapointed to find her potion looking good as well. The Weasley girl, well many of the Gryffindors were finishe or nearly so. "10 points to Slytherin." He said. The class was nearly over. Everyone lable a portion of your poitions and put them in the glass holders on my desk. He stopped infront of Miss Carter. Her potion was green instead of the navy blue it was intened to be. "I think we will test a potion on Miss Carter today." He said with a smirk. "Follow me." He lead the way to the front of the class.

"But why?" She asked and looked down at her potion and her mouth dropped "That was so not green ten seconds ago. And besides my seat is just so darn comfy I don't think it'll let me move. And uh... well... I.... don't wanna move." Cara said putting her head down on her desk and covering her hands with her arms, knowing that this wouldn't be fun if she moved.

Talon watched this class go about with amusement, he was the first one done and had done it very well. He saw the girl have trouble and Ginny Weasley's arrival. He wanted to help he truly did, but Raven claw had 0 points to lose and he was afraid Snape would actually make it so they had negative numbers. He sighed deeply wanting to help, thinking he could tip some extra ingredient into his potion to make it worse. He turned to Goyle and Draco and sneered. Suddenly, he had an idea: he turned to Crabe and whispered his name, and when he looked, he wiggled his fingers and put his wiggling fingers on his arm, to show him he had a spider on his shoulder. He freaked out, but silently, knocking over one tube into Draco's potion which started to rise and bubble madly. "Um, professor Snape, I think somethings wrong with that potion!"he pointed as the potion began to rise out above the cauldron.
