Draco laughed. "A movie is a story acted out on what the Muggles call film." He told her as they turned the forses around. "They are put onto a little plastic disk called a DVD. They are entertaining." He went on. "My father doesn't approve of me buying them at muggle stores but he's been know to join me for a few of the movies. And my mother enjoys going out into Muggle Theaters for plays." He was silent as they made their way back.

Even as the younger student explained what a movie was, the meaning continued to evade Dakota. It didn't really make sense. What was film? DVDs? Why wouldn't they just read? Numerous other questions floated through the young woman's mind. She automatically urged her horse to follow Draco, not needing to pay full attention to be able to move at a walk. "I think I'll stick with reading, that way I might actually maintain some intelligence," she replied haughtily. Her tone made it rather obvious that she thought enjoying anything by muggles was simply idiotic. Muggles were good for nothing except manual labor.

Draco arched an eyebrow at the tone in Dakota's voice. He didn't quite like it. After all he was still a Malfoy and Malfoys were used to being treated like Royalty. "Are you saying I'm not intelligent?" Draco asked with a slight chill to his voice. He turned his horse so they stood sideways before Dakota. "You have your own opinion and I'd thank you not to insult mine. Lets just get back." He said before she could really answer.

Dakota stared at Draco in disbelief, she hadn't even been thinking of it in that manner. She had been talking about muggles, not this boy but then again she could see how he could jump to that conclusion. But it wasn't her style to apoligise so she just chuckle softly as she continued to follow him. "You shouldn't take things so personally, I didn't mean it in that manner. I was simply talking about how muggles seem to do anything to avoid reading." It had been quite a while since someone had reacted so badly to a simple comment she made. Weren't purebloods supposed to have better poise?

"Muggles are not worthy to associate with however they do create many decient things." Draco responded. He was not one to defend a muggle. They were nothing more then play things. But he did not think of them as neanderthals. Draco reached the stables first and quickly dismounted. He tossed the reins to a waiting elf and then stroked the horses chest gently. "Movies are an excelent way to pass time and I only offered to be nice." He was still irritated by her comment. The adults were up close to the house outside having a drink in the sun. Draco offered a tight smile to each of them. "What is it Draco?" Narcissa asked softly as he made his way to them and poured himself a drink.

Dakota shrugged her shoulders gently, not sure if she completely believed that muggles were able to create anything good. "Well if that is the case then I have yet to see anything of these things," she replied easily. As she reached the stables behind Draco she stopped the horse and fluidly dismounted. She reached up to pet the horse, silently portraying her affection for the creature.
After she handed the reins to a waiting house elf she followed Draco towards the porch with a sigh. He was a bit of a drama queen, wasn't he? She smiled at her mother before moving over to where Draco was pouring himself a drink and placed a gentle hand on his arm. "I apoligise, I did not mean to insult you," she said softly, just loud enough for him to hear. Sure she wasn't really one to apoligise but she didn't want to ruin a pleasant afternoon.

Draco looked at his mother when she asked what was wrong. "Nothing mother." He replied with a bit of coldness still in his voice. His father looked over to Draco and then Dakota with a raised eyebrow. "Draco." Was all he said. It was enough to calm Draco. Lucius had many tones to his voice that really only his family could deciper. Draco loked at Lucius and then nodded. Draco took a drink of his iced tea and then looked at Dakota. "It's fine." He said softly. "I understand." He poured Dakota a glass and then walked to one of the free seats and then sat down. After a few moments of conversation, Lucius spoke again to Draco. "Why don't you show our guests the manor, Draco?" He said. Draco looked to Dakota and her mother to see if they would want this.

The one thought that was running through Dakota's mind that she wouldn't say outloud was that Draco was truely a drama queen. But then again when she really thought about it, most Slytherins were. Most just knew how to hide it from easy view. It was actually quite amusing sometimes.
Dakota watched the exchange between the Malfoys with cool disinterest. It was odd how just one word from the elder male Malfoy could calm his son though. She let a small smile come to her lips though when Draco accepted her apology. She'd apparently have to watch was she said around this boy so as not to really insult him much.
"Thank you," she thanked Draco as she accepted the glass he had poured for her. She sipped it as she followed Draco over to sit with the adults. When Lucius suggested Draco show them the manor and Draco turned to her, Kota shrugged her shoulders gently before looking at her mother. "I would so love to see more of your beautiful home," the elder woman replied happily.

Draco stood. He waited for the woman to folow suit and then led them in through the kitchen. The house elves had been resting but when they entered, the lves jumpped to their feet ready to serve. Draco frowned. He had never liked house elves. He passed by them without a word. The kitchen was spacious and airy. It had many large windows to let in pleanty of sunlight. There was a large island of white marble and the counters matched. The floor was stone tiles and the cabinets a dark oak. Stool were all over the kitchen to enable the short elves o reach the counter tops.
